Question for the #Fediverse. Is it possible to create a list of servers that are committed to community building with marginalized voices and willing to create guard rails to provide safety for those voices while not attempting to control or police how these voices express concerns/issues/etc. I know some servers will block these convos but many won’t. Can we list places folks can land to be able to make sure community can be built?

If the #Fediverse is going to show itself friendly to marginalized voices then it needs effort put in. I can’t in good conscience tell folks join #mastodon knowing they can land on problematic servers & be walled off. The feat of walling off has a purpose but it can also stifle community/discovery. I’m trying to brainstorm how to use this key fediverse tool while still allowing for communication/community building & providing safety for those doing the work. Basically building a neighborhood.

@elonjames How do you know if a server is walled off?
I created a server to provide a safe space for sci fi fans, data analysts and lovers of biscuits and gravy (don't judge) but I feel like it is walled off or slow to gain traction.
I have not gotten an answer on the Discord group yet.

@elonjames also, it would help to know what I can do apart from saying that I want to provide a safe space to help people know that it is a legit intention.
