A famous Klingon proverb tells us revenge is a dish best served cold. But there is another lesson in that proverb that many miss: by taking the time to allow one's anger to cool, a true warrior may see that revenge need not be served at all. Seek not revenge in haste.

Beware those who are good at both sucking up and punching down. Their loyalty is an illusion, but their perfidy is not. A true warrior licks no boots, nor uses theirs to step on others to get ahead.
@startrek I absolutely will argue until I'm blue in the face that TNG wasn't anywhere near as progressive for its time as TOS was for its. TNG had a fantastic cast, but the quality of writing ranged too much. Its best episodes are easily among trek's best, but its worst are bottom of the self sealing stem bolt barrel.
I think DS9 greatly benefitted from being in the shadow of TNG and VOY, in that Berman's attention was largely pulled away from it.
